I bought what I thought was a new item but opened clearly used. What I purchased to use in January, I originally purchased to use for Easter, but didn't use. When I opened this weekend to set up for a birthday party, I couldn't use because three feet were missing and a bracket was broken. The acrylic plates were clearly used. Very disappointed I assumed all the parts would be included. Next time I'll be sure to open box and check for all pieces.

This is the great design and good concept of how to assemble the product.
But unfortunately, it is VERY poor manufacturing. When I received the item, I tried to assembled it. The shortest leg with the ball was too short, I have to extend to get good balance, which make the leg almost fell outf. The mid size plastic plate could not inset into the slots. One of the slot was too narrow.

I love the design, wish the stand works as it should. I'm glad the seller accept my return.

When I opened the box I thought I may have a problem. The box was torn and had a return label on it. That's ok if the prior purchaser was not satisfied with the cake stand, however, they liked it enough to use it and then return it along with the frosting that was still stuck to it. I can't speak for the quality of this product because I did not assemble it after I found the food stuck to the "new product" I purchased. I have seen other reviews from Amazon customers getting used merchandise and now I add my name.

When you unpack the bag of bits, see odd length legs and circular frames with offset lugs it looks a little confusing. However, the assembly instructions are very clear, there's a little spanner to keep it all tight so it goes together and dismantles very easily. We've only used it 4 times, but it is still as smart as on day one (which you would expect as it is chrome metal and not just a shiny plastic frame). Each tier has a clear plastic tray that fits snuggly into the frame, and I would imagine this could get marked if you placed a cake directly on it and cut slices from it. We have used supermarket circular cake boards to seat each cake on and then placed that onto the plastic tray in the frame. The design also makes transportation or relocating very simple as you do not have to move a three tier cake in one go as you can assemble it in minutes. Probably the nicest benefit of using this frame is that you get a tiered cake effect, without worrying about hiding support dowels or that the weight of the upper tiers will sink into the lower one. We have even found that this stand gives a nice afternoon tea effect when full of sandwiches and fairy cakes.

I bought this for a 3 tiered square cake as the one I had originally bought wasn't suitable. I had previously bought one of the tall type metal tiered stands but the square cakes didn't look right as the stand was too curvy. This Wilton cake stand showed the cakes off nicely. The cakes were 12", 10" & 8" squares on 3" larger boards & they managed to fit on the stand ok. Because the cakes aren't above one another, as with other types of stands, I felt confident that the stand could safely hold the cakes without any danger of collapsing - the other stand I bought looked a little wobbly & I wasn't convinced that it was strong enough to hold the cakes without the stand collapsing. I have only given 4 stars as the plates which are described as "crystal clear plates" are plastic & are quite thin & cheap looking & I would have preferred to pay a bit more for glass ones. This is only a minor quibble as when using boarded cakes the plastic plates are covered. When I bought this I thought I would be able to use the tiers separately as stand alone plates but this is not the case as the legs of the 3 frames fit into the large circular base frame so all 3 tiers are interconnected, but it is still a nice stand. It is easy to constuct as the legs of the 3 tiers fit into the larger bottom circle of the stand. It is also easy to store as it comes flat packed. I would recommend this & will be using this many times as I think it is a nice product.

This is a great find. I intend to use it for displaying perfumes. Once assembled I realized it was way too big to fit on top of my draws (ikea Alex for reference). So I reversed the tiers and put at an angle and managed to get all three plates on! I previously had a plain cake stand and this is a nice upgrade since I have more perfumes now. I will say I found it a little wobbly so I have secured feet with a tiny blob of blue tack and a big blob at the back leg to stop it accidentally sliding off.

Now I have to spend the rest of the afternoon working out how I want to display the items
